Importance of ISO Accreditation

What is ISO Accredited?

The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) assembles individual standards or rules regulating certain processes for many industries.

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is one of the most stringent standards in the world of calibration and testing.

Each year, Gerhart is independently audited and evaluated by the third party accreditation body ANAB.

ANAB accreditation assures Gerhart has met the requirements of international standard (ISO/EC 17025:2017) and national standard (ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 (R2002)), while demonstrating technical competence in the field of calibration.

Why is this important?

Accreditation allows Gerhart to facilitate international commerce by assuring each accredited calibration is accurate and acceptable as true worldwide.

Quality standards have been embedded in the Gerhart culture for many years.

As a result, every employee participates in and practices the policies and procedures derived from complying with the standard.

This assures the consistency and accuracy of all Gerhart calibrations.

How do you know Gerhart is ISO accredited?

Gerhart’s accreditation symbol indicates this technical achievement and is found on all accredited calibrations. The number may be freely looked up on the ANAB website where our calibration capabilities are found within our scope.

The symbol can be found on our website.
